Come and Try Roller Skating 2024
If you are curious about trying roller skating, but not ready to buy your own skates, these sessions are perfect for you!
Taking place in various parks around the inner west, roller skates from junior 8 up to mens size 11 are available to try on, as well as protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards).
Three experienced skate instructors will help you get the basics right.
Stay til the end for performances from our coaches.
Some pre-loved skates and pads are available to purchase after the session. So if it turns out you LOVE roller skating, you can take a pair home right then!
Socks must be worn. Can be purchased for $3
Children must be assisted by an adult.
2024 Dates:
Skating sessions run at 2-3.30pm.
Performances from coaches and students 3.30-4pm.
Weather permitting. Keep an eye on our FB event page for updates.
Come any time within the session, first in first served.
Time limit may be introduced if there is a queue.

Do I need to book?
No. These sessions are drop in style. First come first served. If there is a queue, time limit may be put in place.
What do I bring?
Bring your own helmet and socks.
How much does it cost?
Come and Try sessions are free of charge. If it turns out you like roller skating, support Princess on Skates by making a donation.
I can already skate, will you teach me more?
These sessions are designed for those who has never skated before, and wants to try. If you can already skate well, head over to our classes.
Is it dangerous? Could I hurt myself?
Like any physical activites, roller skating comes with risks. Unexpected falls can cause injuries and/or damage. Our coaches will do their best to guide you to minimise this risk, however you will be skating at your own risk. All participants will require to sign a risk warning acknowledgement before they start.
