Explanation of levels
-
We recommend a private lesson or our learn-at-home program first to get started safely.
-
For skaters who can already stand on skates and roll forward a little, but are still wobbly or nervous. We cover falling safely, plow stop, turning, bubbles and basic skating technique.
-
For those who are confident skating forward and able to control their speed. We learn more advanced skills like transitions, crossovers, footwork and many more!
Intermediate 1 – Early Intermediate: newer skaters in this level.
Intermediate 2 – Strong Intermediate: skaters with more experience who are ready for harder variations.
-
For those who have been skating with me for a while, confident with forwards and backwards. Know their edges, comfortable skating on one leg. We learn much harder things like spreadeagle, backward crossover, waltz jump.
What our families say…
“Skating means so much to me. Just over three months ago I was really nervous, and now I’m really confident and doing all this cool stuff. It means so much to me that I CAN skate, the oppotunities and the wide range of things you can do, it’s beyond words. Thanks for being such an inspiring teacher Belle!
”
“Skating has been so good for Gia. She’s found something she really loves and I see the lessons she’s learning in skating flowing into other areas of her life. You’d never know looking at her today that she used to be a very cautious kid. It’s amazing that it was skating in the end that inspired her so much. I’m so thrilled for her!
