Looking for a daytime physical activity that’s active, social and genuinely skill-building?

This is a dedicated roller skating workshop just for homeschool & preschool families — a supportive session where children can learn real skating skills while still having the freedom to play, move and connect with others.

Mondays *

Parents are very welcome to skate as well!

What to expect:

• A guided beginner-friendly lesson

• Skills adapted for all ages (little kids through to adults)

• Games, music and dancing

• Plenty of supervised free-rolling time in a large safe space

Cost:

$20 per child
Parents welcome to skate: $5
$5 skate hire (we have sizes for kids and adults)

BYO roller skates and inline blades welcome.

(No scooters or other wheeled equipment please — they behave very differently on the floor and create safety issues.)

Spots are limited so everyone has space and support while learning.

Pop-up Roller Skating at Yarraville Festival

Pop-Up Roller Skating for Kids — Yarraville Festival 🛼

We’re bringing roller skating to the streets of Yarraville!

Our temporary fenced rink will be set up right in the festival, so kids can step straight in and have a go. No bookings needed — just turn up, grab a helmet, and roll. Our friendly coaches will be inside the rink helping beginners learn to balance, move and stop, so even first-timers are very welcome.

Throughout the day there’ll be music playing, fun skating games, and special performances from our talented coaches and students.

How it works

  • 30-minute supervised skate sessions

  • All skill levels welcome (most festival skaters are beginners!)

  • Protective gear provided

Pricing

  • $12 per child (includes roller skate and protective gear hire)

  • $5 entry if bringing your own roller skates

Important

  • Socks must be worn inside the skates

  • Socks available to purchase for $3 if needed
